After 3 hours of sleep, the folks & i took a cab up to Union Station in DC...
...where we caught a train north to BWI in MD...
...where we flew to Dallas, TX...
...before continuing on to Austin, TX...
...where we finally got to see how awesome Livi is @ Rock Band!
Later that night, Pam, Dale & Will took me to Alamo Draft House where i got to drink beer & watch Kick Ass!

VA in a day
i only had 1 full day in Virginia so i went for a walk in the woods
then Matt's parents dropped by during their visit from CA
i forced bekha to take home all the produce in my folks' house before their trip.
then bekha & i had a date nite: we split a cupcake
before a tex-mex dinner
and topped off the night by catching Hot Tub Time Machine!

took Megabus down to DC for the 1st time.
found this odd sign in the toilet.
after reaching VA, went to see bekha & her kids: ian the cat & frankie the pug.
frankie's a very friendly pug...
...probably a lil too friendly.

St. Vincent's
i had an early-ish appointment @ St. Vincent's.
i wanted to talk to my doctor about switching to the Mirena IUD.
i knew the hospital was closing, but didn't expect the crowd of employees in the hall when i left - i hope a job fair was going on...

matt came back
matt took a redeye back from LA & got in while we were still in bed.
while he was @ work i FINALLY finished the curry!
& worked on drawings

laundry day
woke up to a UPS note on the door
saw the truck outside - driver was kind of a dick, but i got my box
HOORAY! my Skechers Shape Ups came!
they recommend starting with a moderate amount of exercise...so naturally i took Booster on a 5 mile walk around Prospect Park.
and then spent the next 9-10 hours doing laundry & slowly stiffening up.

trying to establish conventions, figure out my goals,
and just get used to using a stylus & pad.

curry time
another great day for a park picnic!
insurance ends @ the end of the month, so getting appts in.
etta needed yarn for a new throw...
...so i waited @ the boyfriend bench AKA The Gate.
finally, to save $, i made a GIANT pot of curry - days of eating!
